Terms of Use

What this service is

semicnc.com is a matching service. We read a request for quotation, screen it, and offer it to machine shops whose machines, materials and part families fit the part. We do not machine anything, we do not resell parts and we do not act as an agent for either side.

Who contracts with whom

Any quotation, purchase order, price, lead time, specification, warranty or delivery term is agreed directly between the buyer and the machine shop. semicnc.com is not a party to that contract, takes no commission on it and holds no money for either side.

We do not guarantee that a shop will quote, that a quote will be accepted, or that any part will be delivered, conform to specification or arrive on time. Those obligations sit with the shop that accepts the order.

For buyers

• Sending an RFQ is free and creates no obligation to buy.
• You confirm you have the right to share the drawings and files you upload.
• Your request is shared with at most 3 shops, and with fewer when fewer genuinely fit.
• Ask for an NDA before files move and the files stay with us until it is signed.
• Specifications you state are taken at face value. We do not verify that a design is fit for its purpose.

For machine shops

• You see a preview of a request, including the lead price, before you commit to anything.
• Paying for a lead buys the buyer contact and files for that request. It does not buy exclusivity beyond the stated limit of 3 shops.
• You are responsible for the accuracy of the capabilities, tolerances, finishes and certifications you register.
• If a lead materially differs from its preview, or the contact does not work, tell us within 7 days and the lead is credited.
• You must honour any NDA the buyer requires.

For vendors

Introductions to shops are free and are made only where a shop agrees to them. We do not sell contact lists. A vendor is named in a guide only where it supports a technical point, never as paid placement.

Confidentiality

Drawings and files are treated as confidential and are shared only as described in the privacy policy. Files are kept for 12 months by default and deleted on request.

Acceptable use

Do not submit requests you have no intention of buying, do not use the forms to harvest supplier contacts, and do not upload anything you are not entitled to share. We may decline or remove a request or a registration without giving a reason.

Liability

The site and the guides are provided as they are. Technical figures in the guides are typical published values for reference, not a specification for your part, and the shop that quotes confirms what it can actually hold. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of this site or from any dealing between a buyer and a shop.
